A few weeks ago I was introduced to the book Essentials of Programming Languages, 3rd edition through Elance. A person wanted help with one of the exercises. I couldn’t help them in the time frame that they were willing to work with, but the book piqued my interest, and in the last 2 weeks I’ve gone through the first chapter and most of the second.

I am going through the book the way one should go through a programming book; by doing the exercises. This is a first for me. I usually just read through and then muddle around when making my own programs. I’ve never gone through a programming book the proper way before, and its turning out to be quite enjoyable and instructive. I’m happy about this.

The code, as always is on my github page. I aim to get through the full book. I feel like its going to be a mind-bending experience for me.
